Term 2 has been a tough term for me. I guess it is because the term is slightly shorter and there are quite a number of chapters to complete for most classes.
An important lesson I learnt from this term is that it is important to pace myself well throughout the semester so that I need not rush through everything at the end. In this way, students can also learn better.
Besides the teaching aspect, my committee work was also quite demanding. A lot of planning and effort was required to draw out the invigilation schedule for the mid-year exam. The execution of the exam can also be quite taxing, physically and mentally. However, I did feel satisfied when the exams were over.
I thought that the post exam activities were quite fun. I enjoyed the sand castle building activity most. I did not know that building sand castles require so much patience, creativity and energy.
Summing up, I enjoyed the ups and downs of Term 2 and I look forward to having a fruitful Term 3.
